Post First coyote hunt with dogs
I went on my first coyote hunt with Dennis and his dogs on Saturday. We didn’t kill any but it was exciting to see the dogs work. It was hunting like I have never experienced before. The dogs move through the woods so fast once they get on a fresh track. One minuet they are in front of you and the next minuet they are literally 10 miles away and you are scrambling to keep up with the action. Thank god for GPS collars. A few guys did manage to get some shots off at two coyotes that were being chased but they were all moving so fast that none of the shots did the trick. All in all it was good to get back in the woods and exciting to watch the action unfold.

Next season we should get all the guys from the site to go one weekend. The more shooters the better.

Next time ya better bring a shotgun because most shots are within 50yards. I ran last weekend and we got another one going that big male this time and of course it wasnt kill season so i dumped my "daisy" dog in on the run and this yote didnt wanna run it would circle and circle and all the dogs did well baying each time My friends dog got in a scuffle with the yote but wasnt phased by it and kept running and baying we finally picked up dogs after about 30 miles of running mostly all in circles. This weekend is the last weekend to run which ends on april 15th
