After a long cold winter its nice to enjoy the warm weather again. Its also nice to spot a bachelor group here and there with a few nice sets of antlers in it. This week I saw a few good bucks just starting to show what they will become. One was grazing at one of the places I hunt the others were close to the same area. I hope this is a sign of what is to become of this season. I really didnt get into hanging cams yet...... been a little busy. Soon enough. Anyone else been seeing any good ones?

I have been seeing this giant buck every night when i go to sleep. he is a big 160 class 12 pointer. lolll. Going upstate this weekend to check some cams and spend time with the family. hopefully i will have something good to post when i get back. im also going to move two cams to some new spots where i know there is some big bucks running around. summer is going to go by quick so i would like to try and pattern at least one big buck before the season starts.

I finally got out two cams last weekend. One was on a clover field where I got alot of great pics the other a bit rushed and not feeling to confident about it.
I saw a big buck monday morning. I was dropping my daughter off at pony camp and saw the same buck I saw last year at the farm. I got a really good look at him. Now I really need to get some cameras up over there!! I will post a picture of him from last year. He is alot bigger and might make Pope.

I got that picture last year. I pullled in Carolyns farm and he was standing in one of her fields browsing with some does. I snuck up on them using a judges stand as a shield , then I slowly raised camera and snapped these pictures from about 30 yards..... my hands were shaking! The wind was perfect. Then I snuck away...... they never knew I was there. That would never happen during bow season. I saw him a few times in velvet then he vanished never to be seen during the season. Hopefully the plots will keep him around a little longer.

That's how he gets them to stay in the field long enough to take their picture

Look at the pictures I posted above and the one I am posting today..... Do you guys think this is the same buck in both sets of pictures? If it is he gained more mass and a little tine length but not as much as I would have thought in a year. What do you think? Same buck or similar?

Definetly looks to be the same buck to me. Hopefully you will get a crack at him this year. But with the reports of some real giants running around you might want to hold out for something bigger lol :).

I agree that it looks like the same buck. You’re right he should have grown more than that from last year. Either way he is a great buck.
