Caz- that is the flash of claymores you are seeing in the pictures. The deer that went into the timber just before these tripped the wires......

I forgot about this post and just remembered it today. It's cool to have two years worth of picturs and velvet footage of this buck. I'm tring to figure out how I'm going to incorporate it all into the video.

Maybe something happened to him that year?? He did not make a big leap in size. The guy that butchered it said his bones and muscles were all screwy in his hind legs........ maybe he got hit by a car last winter or something, and could be the reason he did not grow alot??

Post Re: The Antlers
Yeah my buddy/taxidermist said that when he cut the deer up, the bones in his legs were screwed up and that he had a bunch of extra muscles that he had never seen before. It’s funny because when I walked up on him I made a comment to my brother that the deer looked like it had small legs and his ears were small. But the deer walked in perfectly fine. And to Charlie’s point I think he would have grown more from last year so maybe the deer got hit by a car or something during the spring when he was growing his rack. I also lost a little bit of back strap meat due to the arrow that went through it a few days earlier, thanks a lot Charlie LOL. Maybe the deer was retarded and that’s why I actually got a shot at itLOL He was a mental midget!
