Well I know that looking at all the pictures of everyone’s past accomplishments has gotten me pumped for the season. If I get any more pumped I think I’m going to go nuts over the next three weeks. Hopefully this season we will be as successful as we have been in the past. After looking at all the great trail cam pictures you guys have been posting over the last few months, it is shaping up to be a record year, with Charlie and Pat going to Iowa and Hughie with his tremendous Long Island bucks. Not if we could just get time to pass a little faster we will be all set.

Well I just put in for my hunting vacation and days off for the season so that's one step closer to the season getting here already. Definitely looking foward to Suffolk, and highly enjoy our time upstate at camp hanging out with the crew and telling stories. Can't wait!

Great pictures guys! I took this 8 pointer at last light on the last day of the 2008 season. I got into that stand at 3:30pm, sprayed some tinks around and 45 minutes later this guy comes around. The best part of this hunt was experiencing it with my son on the day of his 1st deer hunt.

here a few more pictures

That’s cool looking deer, I like that curved point. It give him some character.

This is my best buck. It was also the best shot I have ever made. He came running in chasing a doe at full speed grunting the whole way. I snatched my bow from the holder and tried to stop him with a maaa. He never heard it..... I finally yeled MAAAA!!!!! He stopped dead in his tracks quartering away sharply and I punched the trigger. The arrow hit him just over the right hind quarter and went all the way to his heart. I kicked and ran..... then I heard the telltale death crash. I was shaking so bad I could even push the buttns onmy phone to text the guys I was hunting with. INCREDIBLE!!!

Charlie,

Great story and huge buck… I know what you mean about shaking after the shot in disbelief of what just happened. That exactly how I was in ’07 when I took my bear. Totally wasn’t expecting it and didn’t really get nervous when it was happening but after I watched him go down and it sunk in what I had just accomplished I started shaking like a leaf. I have it all on tape its really funny.

I’m sure Pat passed that buck up a few times before you got him LOL
