Post Doe Population
This is one of the does that I harvested a few years back to try and keep the population under control. We have far more does in our area then bucks and we try our best to even out the buck to doe ration each season.

Post Re: Doe Population
I shoot does every year as you guys know. I am a big advocate for shooting does. Gives the bucks better breeding and less stress. Meat is tasty too, a real big plus for me to fill the freezer. Last year I killed three does and have consumed almost two since November. cooked a lot for the guys at the range. Now that i am finally heading to Florida i will keep some choice cuts for myself and give a lot of my meat to my gunsmith who is running low on venison. iwth my 4 deerin the freezer and my nephews deer I have plenty to share with those that eat it and don;t have it.

So shoot them does, they eat good and you;re helping the bucks.

I’m hoping to take a few off your hands next season, if I’m in front of the camera.
